[We are the Champions]

The rugby season just ended. I 've got so much to blog that i dunno where to start. The series of events which happened over the past few weeks was just like a roller coaster ride to me. From the trainings to the day itself(on saturday). I have so much to learn from those experiences.

Our team trashed yjc like 5 nil. And i think we were really complacent. Then we drew pj. We could have, we all know that we could have beaten them. We beat them 2 nil before on the 22nd of april! The was the tj match. Just one weel ago we fought them all the way to the sudden death. All of a sudden, they seem to know all our moves, it was 1 nil. That didn't allow us to move on to the cup championships. We got in to the plate and had to play rjc. At that point in time, i duuno, but all of us wanted to win so badly. Coach was outside the field, shouting at us. Rj was obviously playing rough touch. They were pulling us, all of us had bruises and all they did was to scream at the refree that we were playing rough. What the... Then when we were desperate, coach was shouting," if you want to win, show them what you can do, if they play rough give them back what they give you." When i heard that i was thinking to myself why do we always have to play rough or eye of an eye. Do we always have to do that to win..? Then the world is quite cruel isn't it. I think i didn't really enjoy the game.. in the end we played till sudden death. The refree was obviously bias.. i guess it must be coach. Everyone is against him and so are the other schools. It can be quite irritating. Yu chun did score and viv could have scored, the refree didn't state the rules for sudden death. We are plate champions!

In the midst of the game, i think i was already crying. I told myself i will never cry for rugby, coz it's stupid to. But i just did. When i saw my friends fighting so hard to just plant that ball down on the try line, i couldn't help but cry. I felt so helpless then. We were so close yet so far. Half way thru i think mei ling was really angry with me, cause i threw the ball too hard, and she had difficulty chasing it. she was so sad when we lost to tj, which was partly my fault cause i didn't trust my friend to cover for me. I saw how desperately she wanted to win. I didn't like the way she shouted at me, but for all that i understand why. We trained so hard, no one wants to lose just like that. We fought hard on the field for each other, and for the friendship. I wouldn't say that i am very close to them, but sports indeed bonded all of us together. I will always remember the times when we had to do the 50-50 or the 30, 50, 100 or slopes or the 200m sprints.

Now that it's over, i felt that i've grown and learnt a lot from rugby. Jia ling (senior) once told me when i said training was tough ," anything that doesn't kill will make you stronger". After what i've been through for the past 15mths, i believe i'm physically and mentally stronger. Despite all the difficulties i went thru, i guess i don't regret joining rugby. It was a good learning experience for me.

Nothing is impossible, impossible is nothing.
To all those who encouraged me in one way or another..
thankyou for believing in me
